About ITSPSI
The IT Poster Slam ( is a nationwide open call directed at students from diverse areas of IT related study to submit poster papers that in turn address how IT is transforming all aspects of our society and has become an integral part of many areas of knowledge. The project’s intention is to showcase selected contributions to this development by the next generation on all levels of our educational system. The subject matter is not limited solely to the field of core computer science and can include any subject or area that is relevant to IT practices in education, research, and industry. All posters must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Submission Guidelines
Submission
The poster must be submitted electronically in PDF format to us by June 06, 2021. All selected posters will be printed and placed into the IT Poster Slam maze, making them available to visitors to the Poster Slam. Once all submissions have been received and the selection has been made, you will be contacted with the results and further information should your poster be amongst those selected.
Catagories
- Group I: Theory of Computation, algorithms and Data Structures, Programming Methodology and Languages, and Computer ELements and Architecture.
- Group II: Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networking and Communication, Database Systems,
- Group III: Parallel Computation, Distributed Computation, Human–Computer interaction,
- Group IV: Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, and Numerical and Symbolic Computation
Format
The format of the final poster is A0. It can include color images as long as they are at the proper resolution. Please note that space must be left available for a QR code at the upper right corner of the paper. The QR code will be generated and placed by the organisers and will be used to allow visitors to download posters in pdf format. See template for further details.
Awards
All poster submissions undergo peer review. The peer review committee will also determine which posters will receive awards. There will be up to 10 cash awards, including one for the best scientific content, one for the most creative poster design, and one for the most innovative idea. A fourth prize is given by public vote and will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition. The remaining prizes are awarded outside of any category and are given to signify merit.
All persons whose posters were selected receive a recognition award which consists of a membership to the Swiss Informatics Society for one year. All selected posters will be made available as downloadable proceedings on a dedicated website.
