ITK2027 – A New Contract for Learning
21–23 April 2027 | Tampere Hall, Tampere, Finland
Call for Presentations deadline: 2 November 2026
ITK2027 invites educators, researchers, developers and other professionals working with education, learning and digital technologies to submit presentation proposals for Finland’s largest event for digital education and learning.
The theme of ITK2027 is A New Contract for Learning. As artificial intelligence, digital technologies and wider societal changes reshape education, the conference invites us to reconsider learning, teaching and the roles and responsibilities of learners, educators and institutions.
We welcome proposals presenting research, practical experiences, experiments, new pedagogical approaches and lessons learned across all levels of education, from early childhood education to higher education, vocational education, liberal adult education and workplace learning.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- artificial intelligence in education and AI literacy
- digital pedagogy and learning environments
- assessment and learning analytics
- learner agency and new approaches to learning
- educational technology
- data, ethics and responsible use of technology
- inclusion, accessibility and equality
- future skills and changing roles of learners and educators
- wellbeing and sustainable development
- research, experiments and practices in digital education
Presentation formats
ITK2027 offers several ways to contribute to the programme:
- ITK Workshop – an interactive, hands-on session
- ITK Forum – a presentation and discussion format
- ITK Arena – a concise presentation format
- ITK Poster – a visual presentation of research, development or practical work
Proposals are evaluated through a blind review process, with each proposal reviewed by at least three evaluators. The evaluation considers relevance to the ITK2027 theme, novelty, interaction, interest to the conference audience and applicability in practice.
Submission deadline: 2 November 2026
Further information and the submission form are available on the ITK Conference website.
