Civil Engineers are the builders of the nation. They provide basic infrastructure facilities needed for the society. While providing these basic infrastructure facilities, a civil engineer is concerned with four aspects, namely, Quality, Productivity, Safety and Economy (QPSE). There has been a noticeable change in the environment within which civil engineers carry out their work. There is a growing concern on the adverse consequences of the development activities. Global warming and climate change and their impacts on the various sectors of the society are also of major concern. In this changing environment the specifications for meeting the QPSE requirement are becoming more and more complicated.
A multitude of threats confront us in our effort to achieve sustainability. Civil engineers have always been looking for innovative tools and techniques for solving the challenging problems that they face during planning, analysis, design and construction of civil engineering structures. This conference is aimed to provide a forum to all Civil Engineers to deliberate on the innovative tools and techniques that are needed to face the challenge of sustainable development.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Authors should submit an extended abstract of their original, unpublished work in the template given on the website.
The extended abstracts should include three main sections: Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Concluding Remarks. In the “Introduction” (one or two paragraphs), the context and the purpose of the study are presented. The section should include the background to the study with a brief summary of the existing publications (e.g. Surname et al. 2017; Firstsurname and Secondsurname 2018), the main objectives and the novelty features of the study. In the “Materials and Methods” section, you should present (as concisely as possible) the main methodological components of your work. In the “Results and Concluding remarks” section you should report the main findings and discuss the results of your work
