IEM – UEM (K) is happy to host 2nd International Symposium on 3D Printing Technology 2019. The symposium will provide a forum for sharing of knowledge among researchers: offering deeper insight into the topic. Creating awareness in the latest field of additive manufacturing is among the objectives of this event. 2nd IS3DPT-2019 looks to bring together and support gifted and enthusiastic researchers in carrying their work forward.
The production technology landscape is in the throes of changes, brought about by additive manufacturing technology. 3D printing is a frontier technology that promises to increasingly revolutionize production processes in the not too distant future; in terms of sustainable manufacturing, efficient production, better design techniques and more sophisticated infrastructure. India, with its skilled and tech savvy workforce and robust legal and IPR regime, is poised to be the next manufacturing destination of the world. This manufacturing growth will be driven in no small measure by new manufacturing processes and innovative design. 2nd IS3DPT - 2019 Kolkata intends to bring together leading researchers of additive manufacturing from around the world to interact and share their research and ideas with each other. We believe this symposium will play a key role in bridging the gap between dispersed knowledge groups.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

CALL FOR PAPERS OR ABSTRACTS
An abstract is a concise version of your research presented in skeletal form. It focuses on the essentials of a larger idea or claim. It should be sufficient enough for reviewers to discern the nature and significance of your research, the fairness in your approach, and the nature of the results or progress to date.
Four important elements of an abstract:
- The research focus (i.e. statement of the problem(s)/research issue(s) addressed);
- The research methods used (experimental research, case studies, questionnaires, etc.);
- The results/findings of the research; and
- The main conclusions and recommendations
Abstracts are invited on any topic associated with Additive Manufacturing.
The topic can belong to any of the following fields:
- Novel additive manufacturing processes and techniques
- Modeling and simulation of additive manufacturing processes
- New materials and multi-material for 3D printing
- Hybrid additive and conventional manufacturing
- Medical applications of 3D printing and bio-printing
- Application of 3D printing in education
