Book Title: Internet of Things: Frameworks for Enabling and Emerging Technologies
Series Title: Edge AI in Future Computing, CRC Press, Taylor and Francis, USA.
Scope of the Book:
Today, IoT is ubiquitous as it is applied in practice from Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to e-Health, e-commerce, Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), smart cities, smart parking, healthcare, supply chain management and many more. Such extreme reliance on IoT results in voluminous data being generated which has to be collected, processed and analyzed. Numerous industries, academics, alliances and standardization organizations make an effort on IoT standardization, innovation and development. But there is still a need for a comprehensive framework with integrated standards under one IoT vision. This book aims to discuss the role of IoT as applied in practice to real-life organizations. This book also aims to undertake this application with the rigor of scientific yet practically applicable research. Since IoT plays a crucial role in connecting devices together and to the internet via specific protocols for communication and information exchange, achieving intelligent management, monitoring, location tracking and recognition, it is set to play a major role in this decade. This book considers IoT as a revolutionary (disruptive) technology that requires study and sharing of use case around integration of multiple domains like CPS, networking, ubiquitous distributed computing, sensor technologies, wireless sensor networks, data security and privacy, big data, machine learning, blockchain, and so on. These are the topics envisaged by us in this book so that the reader discovers new ideas and sidesteps risks associated with the use of IoT in practice.
