INUAS conference 2020 in Munich - Urban Transformation: Resources
Munich | Vienna | Zurich: Our network of universities of applied sciences assumes social responsibility for key topics related to urban and regional quality of life and serves as a strategic partner for these metropolitan regions.
The conference series “Urban Transformation: Housing | Resources | Public Spaces” creates a platform for a critical appraisal of current issues and perspectives in the development of the metropolitan regions of Munich, Vienna and Zurich.
The second in this series of conferences will take place in Munich in September 2020 and will focus on the topic of resources, examining the four thematic tracks of TIME, SPACE, ENERGY, MATERIALS from technical, ecological, political and social perspectives.
The Call for Papers, Projects and Interventions is intended for researchers, graduates and students from various disciplines, as well as actors and initiatives in applied fields of work, who deal with resources in growing cities and wish to contribute their expertise to the analysis and sustainable development of cities and metropolitan regions.
Submission Guidelines

Researchers as well as actors and initiatives in applied fields of work are requested to submit an abstract of 400 to 600 words (no more than zwo DIN A4 pages) and assign it to one of the four thematic tracks:
1. Resource TIME
2. Resource SPACE
3. Resource MATERIAL
4. Resource ENERGY
The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers
- Posters
- Project contributions
- Workshops
Abstracts for scientific contributions should briefly outline the research question and methodological approach, as well as key findings and conclusions.
Abstracts for workshops or project contributions should briefly outline the concept, innovative aspects, methods of implementation, sustainable effects of the project as well as findings and challenges.
The abstracts (including contact details) must be submitted by 29th February 2020. An interdisciplinary jury will be decided on the selection of entries. The submitters will be notified of the results of the selection process by mid-April 2020. They may be encouraged to revise their submission before its inclusion in the Book of Abstracts.
Talks and contributions to the conference can be given in English or German. The conference fee is significantly reduced for speakers who present their paper during the conference. The organisers do not cover the costs of travel and accommodation for speakers.
