What is INPALMS
The Indo Pacific Association of Law Medicine and Science [INPALMS] is a professional organization that assembles a vast spectrum of experts in field forensics in the Asia Pacific region, founded in 1983. The 14th Scientific Congress of the INPALMS is scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in December 2022.

Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
What can be submitted?
Original research - The authors describe research activity they actually did. The original hypothesis as well as the material and methods chosen to verify it should be clearly described. The results have to be reported and discussed.
Case report - The authors describe one peculiar case or a group of similar cases. The main goal of this kind of presentation is to make the public aware of the possible occurrence of extremely rare or new phenomena/observations.
Technical note - The authors describe a new technical procedure or the development of an existing technique.
Review - The authors report the current knowledge of a debated or not-well known topic on the basis of the survey of the literature.
Comment - The authors comment on a specific topic that may be of interest for the public

Preparation of your Abstract
- Abstracts must contain text only – graphs and pictures cannot be inserted and will not be printed
- Abstract must be written in English and use Times New Roman font, 12 pt
- Maximum length of the abstract is 300 words and should outline the background, aims and content of the presentation.
- Title: Make the title of the abstract brief, clearly indicating the nature of theinvestigation. Use ALL CAPS and bold for the title for example
- Abstract title – limited to 25 words
- Name of the author(s): Please list authors in order and underline the presentingauthor. Family name should be followed by initials. Do not include degrees or professional title e.g. Smith J,
- Institution: Type department and/or institution with which this work is affiliated
- Abbreviations: Standard abbreviations may be used. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at the first instance it appears in the body of the text
- References should not be cited.
It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact may be reproduced in conference publications as typed by the author. However, the Scientific Advisory Committee reserves its right to edit the abstracts as the case may be.
Submit your Abstract
Abstracts must be submitted by the presenting author via the EasyChair online conference paper management system.
First, you will need to set up an account (username and password) as an author. Go to https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=inpalms2022colombo. You will then be automatically directed to the page showing the Step 1 of creating an EasyChair account. Fill in the textbox with the distorted words that appear directly above it, and click on “Continue”.
Then, follow the on-screen instructions and complete the form in Step 2 and click on “Continue.”
After registering, you will receive an email notification. Use the link provided in the email to continue the account registration process.
Fill out all of the required information and click the “Create my account” button to finalize the account registration process. After the account is registered, you may log in to INPALMS 2022 – COLOMBO simply by clicking on the “click this link” link or on the following link https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=inpalms2022colombo
Note: If your username appears taken, it is possible that you have signed up for EasyChair in the past for another conference. In this case, you simply need to ask the system to remind you of your password based on your username.
After logging in to the EasyChair website INPALMS 2022 – COLOMBO, you may click on the “New Submission” link located in the top-left corner of the menu bar to submit a new abstract.Follow the on-screen instructions and fill out all of required information about the authors.
Note: You must use the same email address that you signed up with when creating the EasyChair account.
Fill out the text abstract, keywords and the related topics.
You will be asked to enter: Name, address and contact details of presenting author, preferred presentation type* and name/s of all author/s, affiliation/s of all author/s, abstract title and short biography of the presenting author (100 words).
During the submission process you will indicate your preferred presentation format, however your preference is not guaranteed.
Click on the “Submit” link to submit your abstract.
At the end of the submission procedure (a new submission or an update of an old one), you will receive a confirmation email. Once the review process is completed, you will receive acceptance/rejection notification with reviews by email.
Communication will be with the presenting/submitting author only.
Lodgement of an abstract acknowledges your consent to publication of the abstract in conference publications (hard copy or electronic) provided to all delegates (ifaccepted).
Abstracts must be submitted in Word document format (i.e. only .doc or .docx files will be accepted) using the template provided and saved with the filename 'Surname_Initial'. If you are submitting more than one abstract, please also include subsequent numbers in the filename, e.g.- 'Surname_Initial_1'.
Abstracts submissions are due on 30th September 2022.
