About the Book
The book presents the enhancement methods of on-chip communication, explores Network-on-chip (NoC), a promising alternative solution that equips designers with the capability to produce high performance, scalable and reusable communication protocol by allowing the integration of a large number of processing elements on a system-on-chip (SoC). However, the traditional on-chip communication architectures engaged on conventional multicore platforms are unable to handle both CPU and GPU computing units efficiently. Hence, in this book, our aim is to provide the effective method to improve the performance of heterogeneous multicore architectures through the design of a hybrid NoC consisting of both wired and wireless communication methods. Then we focus the deep learning techniques to provide effective micro and macro level architectures for multi-core platforms. This book provides complete NoC design methodologies using intelligent systems, different computing for NoCs, scalable modeling of NoC, design and mapping of subsystems using artificial neural networks and application mapping. In addition, this book demonstrates other new NoC issues, such as low-power NoC design, Antenna on Chip, Wireless NoC, Hybrid Wireless NoCs, Signal Integrity, NoC testing, reconfiguration routers, synthesis, and 3-D NoC design.
