The 10th Anniversary IF&IGIS’22 Symposium is scheduled to take place at St. Petersburg, Russia, from 12 to 16 September 2022 and will have a specific focus on “moving to humanity”. Over the recent years, information fusion and intelligent geographical information science have been progressively integrated in a more comprehensive way with the human domain. This integration was dictated by the need for a much more human-oriented IGIS. In the process of developing IGIS towards various application domains one must take into account how different IGISs interact together and with their users. This process should be guided by a better consideration of how human beings might apply these systems in a better way while considering humanities. This will provide inclusion at all levels and allow users to obtain more social benefits from IGIS’ features. Such an approach to IGIS humanization may also enhance potential appeal of IGIS for many related disciplines. Currently, several initiatives and projects on human-oriented IGIS are under progress at the worldwide level. We believe that such progressive initiatives and projects should be addressed under the umbrella of our Symposium. IF&IGIS’22 Symposium welcomes scientists and researchers that are motivated to share ideas and experience, to discuss recent progress and challenges under the scope of humanity and IGIS.
