Submission deadline | January 31, 2019 |
Initiated in 1993 at the University of Waterloo, the International Conference on Water Resources and Environment Research (ICWRER) brings together researchers and practitioners from around the globe to present and discuss their latest theoretical and practical research advances in order to better understand natural systems related to water resources and the environment. The series of conferences cover areas such as geographical information systems and remote sensing, stochastic hydrology, sustainable water management, surface water and groundwater interaction, ecosystem modelling, conflict resolution, scaling problems in hydrology and water resources, environmental management, risk analysis and climate change.
ICWRER 2019, the 8th of this series of conferences, will address key challenges in understanding complex interactions among hydrological, ecological and societal systems in order to furnish valuable insights into the sustainable development of both society and ecosystems in the long term. This understanding process requires interdisciplinary philosophies from hydrology, ecology, environment, engineering, economics, social sciences and many others. Researchers, practitioners, and graduate students from related fields are welcome to participate in the conference to exchange their latest work and ideas.
Submission Guidelines
Authors wishing to present papers at the conference are invited to submit extended abstracts in English of up to three pages for review. All submissions must be original and have not been published elsewhere. Instructions and templates is available on the conference website. Accepted extended abstracts will be presented by their authors at the conference and will appear in the conference proceedings, which will be distributed electronically. Authors will retain the copyright of their extended abstracts, and they will have the opportunity to expand them as full papers for publication in a number of planned special issues of journals.
