Sensing and imaging is an interdisciplinary field including science and engineering, such as optics, electricity, magnetism, heat, sound, mathematics, and computing technology, to characterize and visualize objects of interest noninvasively. It has found diversified applications that have changed our life.
The conference will be interdisciplinary. ICSI 2018 aims to gather together colleagues worldwide in the fields of sensing and imaging, providing a platform for the participants to communicate, discuss and collaborate on a broad scope of topics, including theories, techniques, and applications of sensing and imaging technology. The conference will also help bridge the gap between scientists and engineers with the purpose of rapid translation of the sensing and imaging technologies into practical applications.
This conference will be held at Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST), Liuzhou, China, on October 15-17, 2018.
Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST) is the sponsor of ICSI 2018. Prof. Simin Li, the President of GXUST, is the general chair for this conference. Profs. Nathan Ida and Ming Jiang are the Co-Chairs for this conference.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome colleagues from either academia or industry in the fields of sensing and imaging, and related fields to submit their theoretical and experimental papers and participate in the conference. All papers must be original and must not have been published, submitted, or accepted for publication elsewhere. All papers must be prepared with the manuscript templates and in English, and be submitted in PDF format via https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icsi2018, where you can find submission instructions and manuscript templates.

We plan to edit a special issue entitled ""Recent developments in Sensing and Imaging"" in the journal Sensing and Imaging of Springer & Nature. The Program Committee will recommend 10 - 20 presented work at ICSI 2018 for possible publication in this special issue. Each manuscript must be a full-length regular paper that is a significant extension from its conference presentation, and will be reviewed under the normal reviewing process according to the journal's standard. More information about this special issue will be sent to recommended authors after the conference. Sensing and Imaging is in the ESCI and EI among others.
