The International Child Phonology Conference (ICPC) is the largest annual gathering for research on child speech and phonological development. In 2021, this conference will be hosted by Fangfang Li (University of Lethbridge, Canada) and Karen Pollock (University of Alberta, Canada) as an online conference on June 17-19. We invite proposals for oral and poster presentations on all areas of child phonology, including those in first or second language, on typical or clinical populations, as well as research related to neurological, psychological, and physiological underpinnings of speech acquisition. In addition to regular presentations, the conference will feature methodological workshops, virtual networking roundtables, and a special panel discussion on the impact of the current pandemic on child speech development.
Graduate students are especially encouraged to submit. Student poster awards up to $200 will be available for competition.
