The Fourth International Conference in Ocean Engineering (ICOE2018) will be organized by the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). During the 60 years of its existence, the IITM has consolidated itself as an Institute of excellence in technology and research and has become the number one institute in the technological education in the country. The Department of Ocean Engineering has achieved significant success with a very dynamic profile in terms of training graduate and postgraduate professionals for careers across the globe. The department is a center of excellence in disciplines spanning across the areas of ship design, coastal and harbor structures, deep-water technologies, marine geo-techniques, energy and areas in oil and gas. The department has an internationally acclaimed rare combination of hydrodynamic test facilities that include a towing tank, a wave basin, wave flumes, harbor modeling basin, ocean energy, oil and gas supported by state of the art instrumentation as well as the expertise of the faculty team. The department organized ICOE in 1996, 2001 and 2009. With this background, the fourth International Conference in Ocean Engineering 2018 (ICOE2018) offers an exciting platform for academicians, engineers from industry, policy makers and administrators from all over the globe to deliberate on various conference themes.
The technical program of the Conference will consist of keynote addresses, contributed papers and special sessions with invited speakers. Contributed papers reviewed by an International Technical Committee will be selected for oral presentation.
