IIM Amritsar is pleased to announce the International Conference on Management of MSMEs (ICMM 2027) on the theme ‘Advancing MSMEs: Integrating Ideas, Innovation, and Transformative Solutions’. The theme is an invitation to reimagine how India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises can build greater resilience, competitiveness, and capacity to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.

MSMEs are at the heart of India’s economic and entrepreneurial landscape, contributing significantly to employment, innovation, exports, regional development, grassroots entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth. They are operating in an environment being reshaped by rapid technological advances, evolving consumer expectations, changing global value chains, and a growing emphasis on sustainability. At this important juncture, the path forward will depend on how effectively MSMEs can connect fresh ideas with meaningful innovation and translate both into solutions that create lasting impact.

Ideas provide direction. Innovation turns ideas into capabilities. Transformative solutions turn capabilities into meaningful change. The theme reflects a simple conviction: advancing MSMEs calls for more than isolated interventions; it requires the integration of ideas, capabilities, and action. ICMM 2027 seeks to provide a platform for such integration – encouraging dialogue, challenging conventional thinking, and fostering ideas that can translate into meaningful outcomes for MSMEs.

We invite academicians, industry practitioners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to join us at ICMM 2027 and contribute to this collective endeavour to reimagine and advance India’s MSME landscape.
