ICEGT 2022 is the 1st International Conference on Emerging and Green Technologies hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Computing at the University of Technology, Jamaica. The theme of the conference is Sustainable Solutions in a Dynamic Global Economy. The aim of ICEGT 2022 is to provide a platform for academia, scientists, researchers, students, and stakeholders from industry to present current research in Engineering and Computing in the area of Emerging and Green Technologies. ICEGT 2022 will allow for interactive panel discussions, exchange of ideas, sessions by renowned keynote speakers, oral paper presentations, and poster presentations.
Submission Guidelines
The ICEGT 2022 invites original submissions of full-length and work-in-progress papers that have not been previously published and are not currently under review for publication elsewhere. All papers should be submitted to the conference submission site at EasyChair.
We welcome papers in three (3) categories: research track (full paper and work-in-progress) for faculty and students; vision track; and industry/government track. Submissions should include the name, department, affiliation, and email address of all authors. Students must use a university-affiliated email address for their submissions.
The Research track will involve both oral and poster presentations. Full papers should be at least 6 pages and no longer than 10 pages in the standard two column IEEE proceedings format, which can be found at IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. Work-in-progress papers should be between 4 - 6 pages in length. Students may submit work-in-progress or full papers for consideration. Students and other researchers may submit an abstract only for consideration for poster presentations.
Vision papers submitted may be as short as 2 pages but no more than 10 pages. We welcome original contributions of blue-sky thinking related to the theme, “Sustainable Solutions in a Dynamic Global Economy”.
Industry/government papers should not exceed 10 pages. At least one co-author for industry/government papers must be affiliated with industry or government organizations such as the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ), Jamaica Technology & Digital Alliance (JTDA), Jamaica Institution of Engineers Scientific Research Council (SRC), and national associations and government departments/ministries etc. in any participating country.
