The ICDVRAT conference series was initiated by Paul Sharkey, University of Reading UK in 1996. It runs biennially as an international conference held in different locations worldwide. Paul has established a research community of over 1,000 members from 35 countries with a range of interests in the application ofvirtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and its associated technologies in assessment, treatment and support of individuals with disability, impairment or support needs. There is a strong ethos on inclusion; bringing together technology developers, clinicians, research scientists, and businesses.
Conference submissions will undergo a two stage process: abstract submission - from January 6th to February 28th - and, upon abstract acceptance, full paper submission - from April 1st to May 31th.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers describing advances in game-based or simulated solutions devised to improve motor, cognitive or functional impairments and mental health conditions. The submitted studies must be backed-up by either qualitative or quantitative data and appropriate data analytics.
- Posters describing advances in game-based or simulated solutions devised to improve motor, cognitive or functional impairments and mental health conditions. The studies do not have to discuss data but need to display novel ideas/methods/approaches/systems.
