Universidad de Monterrey, the Division of Art, Architecture and Design, and the Industrial Design Program have the pleasure to invite you to the 22nd IAPRI World Conference – Industry 4.0, from 15th to 18th of June 2020 at the Universidad de Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.
In the accelerated world the information and systematization are growing, society and industry are demanding faster and real solutions. A reflection of Industry 4.0 in the field of packaging is needed, how we are working now and how the revolution Industry 4.0 is affecting the future of packaging, distribution and commercialization of the products.
IAPRI, as the leader in Packaging research, is concern about the challenges that Industry 4.0 is bringing, from the automatization, personalization, e-commerce, environmental issues, social responsibilities etc. Therefore the IAPRI World Congress has the object to concentrate the state of the art on packaging research, where experts on packaging and related areas will present the results of their investigations. IAPRI organization promotes research and investigation in the field of packaging, such as distribution, materials, environmental, consumers and other topics related with packaging. We invite you to submit the abstracts of your research for Oral Presentations or Posters
Submission Guidelines
The 22nd IAPRI World Packaging Conference invites academics, researchers and other interested on packaging areas to send their original research or case studies abstracts, formatted according to the given information
Papers can be submitted through the peer-reviewed and general streams. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Papers are accepted only through online submission tool.
- Title, 300 words abstract, five keywords maximum.
- Please include a list of the conference tracks where your paper can be consider in the congress, in order of importance.
- .docx/.pdf/ file formats are accepted
- Do not include author details, university or country information in the abstract. This is a double blind peer review process.
- Please ensure all articles are proofread and checked for accuracy prior to submission. Changes cannot be made during the review process. If accepted, minor revisions may be made prior to final submission.
IMPORTANT DATES
General Streams
- Abstract submission to General Streams: December 30, 2019 ... last call January 2020.
- Acceptance decisions: January 15 - March 2, 2020, as soon as it is accepted, it will be announced.
- Once the abstract is accepted for oral presentation or poster, full paper submission for General Streams will be required and you will have until May 30, 2020, to submit it.
PTS - Peer-reviewed
- PTS - Peer-reviewed / full papers submission: December 30, 2019 ... last call January 15, 2020.
- Acceptance decisions: Will be given up to March 2, 2020, as soon as it is accepted it will be announced.

Publication
Papers submitted through the peer review stream will be published in Packaging Technology and Science, respecting the journal’s editorial policy and papers submitted through the general steam will be published in the conference proceedings, as usual.
Venue
The venue for the 22nd IAPRI Conference will be at the ESTOA building of Universidad de Monterrey at the campus in San Pedro Garza García. The closest airport is General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY).
We will visit Centro Roberto Garza Sada (CRGS) designed by architect Tadao Ando at the University Campus, and the Centro ABRE- UDEM, the Innovation Packaging Design Center at Innovation and Technological Industrial Park (PIIT). The Congress has four social events for networking and enjoying iconic landscapes of Monterrey such as CRGS, the MARCO (Contemporary Art Museum), the Horno Nº 3, blast furnace of the old Steel Foundry of Monterrey.
