Submission deadline | June 15, 2023 |
The industry 4.0and smart manufacturing comprehensively improves the manufacturing facilitiesby facilitating and establishing interconnectivity through the internet of things (IoT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), additive manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, smart factory, digitalization, cloud computing, augmented reality, virtual reality, giving access to the real time information and by introducing the cyber physical systems to improve the process and productivity. It provides a balanced and an intelligent ecosystem between the various production functions such as planning, organizing, directing, operating, manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain and customer relationship management. The smart manufacturing system are well equipped with the advanced sensors, embedded software and robotics that can ease the manufacturing complexities by improvising the visibility of process and collects and analyze the data which helps in the better decision making. This digital transformation allows automation, predictive maintenance and self-optimization of the process which further improves the efficiency and becomes more customer centric. The industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing provides an incredible opportunity for the manufacturers and researchers.
