2d International Hotelschool The Hague Research Symposium: Business Resilience in Hospitality
The current situation presents many challenges for the celebration of professional meetings, but also opportunities to increase the interaction between researchers from different institutes and across borders. This year’s Research Symposium will not revolve around the presentation of peer-reviewed papers, but instead around establishing cooperations in international research leading to publishable and impactful co-authored work as a result of and after the event.
The purpose of the Hotelschool The Hague research meetings is twofold: to bridge the gap between academic research and professional practice, and to support and enable researchers to turn their studies into high quality publications. The event will run from 1 March 2021 until 2 July 2021:
In March 2021, we will bring together international researchers who wish to initiate joint research with international colleagues related to the topic of ‘Business Resilience’, leading to co-authored studies by the end of the period (July 2021).
On 15-16 April, Hotelschool The Hague will organise plenary debates around Business Resilience, and will invite those researchers who have started joint projects to present their preliminary findings. The objective of the conference is to provide researchers with actionable feedback.
In July 2021, Hotelschool The Hague will organise a publication outlet for the conference proceedings. However, authors are encouraged to submit their publication to their preferred journal.
Submission Guidelines
Researchers who wish to take part in the research tracks can opt for:
- Submitting a max. 200 word abstract for a research project inside one of the proposed tracks, specifying a working title, suggested literature, hypothesis, envisioned methods and, if applicable, whether data have been collected or are otherwise available.
- Indicating your expertise and interest to join other research proposals in one of the proposed tracks.
All registrations must be accompanied by a max. 100 word bio, plus a list of max. five publications (or other projects) relevant for the research track. Deadline for submissions is 20 February, 2021. Admitted participants will be invited to join the research track of their choice by March 1.
