Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS) deal with real-world complexity with a multidisciplinary approach and a plurality of artificial intelligence techniques. Complex systems, including biology, medicine, logistics, management, engineering, humanities, industrial environments, and technological applications, among others, have significant difficulty modeling and interacting with their processes by classical methods. This workshop aims to discuss research on progress working with hybrid intelligent systems applied to topics applying artificial intelligence techniques in this framework.

The HIS2023 is a workshop conference held by the Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence (SMIA) in its central Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (MICAI). 

HIS2023 covers and gathers research topics associated with Hybrid Intelligent Systems and their capabilities for modeling, holding a negotiation about a specific topic, demonstrating reputation using diverse models, and managing all these complex processes.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. 

Experts in the topics covered by this workshop will referee the original submissions on the field based on originality, significance, quality, and clarity. In addition, at least two Program Committee members will review every submitted research.

The following paper categories are welcome:

  • Full papers describing the final results of original research within the topics of the conference
    • Papers must follow the LNCS-LNAI  guidelines with a style template (only MS-WORD format). The length of every proposal should be between 8 and 12 pages, including figures and a bibliography. The Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence (SMIA) will certify all accepted articles.
  • Posters describing advances in original research within the topics of the conference
    • Poster proposals must follow the HIS poster style template. The Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence (SMIA) will certify the best three posters.

  • Abstract registration: August 30th, 2023.

  • Submission of papers: September 13th, 2023. 

  • Notification of acceptance: October 4th, 2023. 

  • Submission of camera-ready: October 11th, 2023. 

  • Registration deadline: October 14th, 2023.

Posters

  • Submission posters: October 15th, 2023.

  • Notification of acceptance: October 18th, 2023.
