All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers describing ...Perceptions and Strategies to Improve Student Writing
The purpose of this study is to determine student perceptions of their writing ability and determine what strategies and services are being offered at the college level to ensure student success in both their academics and future careers. Due to the increased demand on employees’ communication and writing skills, it is paramount that educators align programs to ensure not only academic success, but also to meet the competencies required by employers in both technical and written communication aspects of the job. Since college faculty are now primarily responsible for preparing students for success in the workplace after graduation; the strategies, methods of instruction, and services offered at the college level need to be assessed and evaluated to ensure writing requirements are aligned and learning outcomes are in fact being achieved.
