The 16th International Conference on Geocomputation will be held in a hybrid format. We invite submitted papers and extended abstracts on research within the broad geocomputation scope. We also invite submissions for themed sessions within the conference and workshops to run on the first scheduled day.
The GeoComputation conference has the following aims:
- Attract researchers and presenters of international standing
- Facilitate global networking between institutions and individuals
- Promote active collaboration amongst workers from diverse parent disciplines
- Create an international focus for current state-of-the-art research
- Provide a mechanism for disseminating the latest innovations and discoveries
- Highlight the benefits and limitations of new computational techniques
- Act as a constructive forum for inter-disciplinary discussion of research ideas
- Generate a framework that allows newcomers to see their work in an international context
- Indicate fruitful directions for further research
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Papers should be 2500 to 4000 words in length and extended abstracts up to 1500 words in length, using either Word or Latex templates (submitted documents in PDF format).

We invite papers and extended abstracts on geocomputation topics including, but not limited to: GeoAI and machine learning, agent-based modeling, spatial data science, geographic visualization and visual analytics, virtual and augmented reality, geographic data mining, CyberGIS, open geospatial science, spatial optimization, computational movement analysis, complex systems analysis, cellular automata, geosimulation, geospatial uncertainty, and applied geocomputation.

We will invite authors of conference papers with positive reviews to extend their submission into a full-length paper for consideration for a Special Issue in (TBD) according to the peer-reviewed standards of the journal.
