Effective integration and wide sharing of geospatial data is an important and basic premise to facilitate the research and applications of Geographical information Science. However, the semantic heterogeneity of geospatial data is a major problem that significantly hinders geospatial data integration & sharing. Geospatial Intelligence addresses the need with semantic modelling of geospatial classes as well as semantic technology for access, integration and sharing geodata. The aim of this session is to identify the research challenges and collaborate ideas that are central to geospatial semantics, data modelling, integration and sharing. The study in these areas will help the researchers in the development of ontologies at different levels to support various information or knowledge-based processes.
