THEME: HUMAN-COMPUTER INTERACTION FOR DIGITAL INCLUSION: EMPOWERING ALL IN THE DIGITAL ERA 

Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a critical field of study that has the potential to empower all individuals in the digital era. HCI research and design focuses on the ways in which humans interact with technology, and how to optimize those interactions to create positive user experiences. In recent years, HCI has been increasingly applied to the design of digital inclusion initiatives, which aim to provide everyone with the opportunity to participate in the digital economy and society. Digital inclusion is a complex challenge that requires a multi-faceted approach. HCI can help design digital environments that are accessible and friendly for all users, regardless of disability, language ability, or socio-economic status. By implementing effective HCI techniques, we can create platforms that empower people to participate in the digital economy and society on an equal footing. HCI has a crucial role to play in the effort to achieve digital inclusion. By building user interfaces that are easy to use and understand, we can help everyone to become actively involved in the digital world. By creating accessible and inclusive digital platforms, we can help to break down barriers that have traditionally kept many people from participating in the digital economy. In short, HCI is essential for achieving widespread digital inclusion.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. We encourage the submission of an extended abstract paper (about 2-4 pages). White papers from industry practitioners are also welcomed. All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous double-blind review process. Accepted papers will be published on a myHCI-UX website with e-ISBN. 

The main submission guidelines are:

• Fusion 2023 submissions are required to be double-blind (anonymous submissions). In order for the paper to be reviewed, please remove the authors' names and affiliations from the paper.
• Please use the Fusion 2023 template as the guideline for formatting your paper. Click here to download the template.
• You can submit your paper via the EasyChair submission link. Click here to submit your paper.  

After the review is completed, authors will receive notification regarding the outcome of the review. If a paper is accepted, authors will be required to complete the registration process. The registration link will be provided together with the acceptance notification with the following fee:

• myHCI-UX member: RM 100
• Non-myHCI-UX member: RM 150
• Postgraduate students: RM 100
• Industry/Academician: RM 150  
• Viewer: RM 100
