Submission deadline | May 1, 2025 |
The Workshop on Forensics for IoT and Smart Home (FISH 2025) aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, industry experts and agencies to discuss and address the unique challenges in digital forensics for the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home environments. The adoption of smart home devices has grown exponentially in recent years, seamlessly integrating into our daily lives. These devices collect vast amounts of personal data to automate household tasks, enhance convenience, and optimize home management. As IoT devices continue to proliferate in both personal and industrial spaces, the need for effective forensic methodologies, frameworks, and tools has become more critical than ever. This workshop will serve as a platform for presenting cutting-edge research, novel approaches, and practical case studies in IoT and smart home forensics. The workshop is co-aligend with the conference Informatik Festival 2025 at the University of Potsdam Campus III - Greibnitzsee in Germany, organized by the Gesellschaft für Informatik. More details about the conference Informatik Festival 2025 are available at https://informatik2025.gi.de.
Submission Guidelines
Submitted papers must be original, unpublished, anonymous, and not submitted to journals or other conferences/workshops that have proceedings. All papers will be subject to a double-blind peer review. Submissions must be written in English, strictly follow the GI-Edition Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI) format (with default margins, font size, etc.) and should be at most 10 pages, excluding only references. Papers not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register for on-site participation and to present the paper. The proceedings will be published in the GI-Edition Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI) series. Accepted papers must follow the LNCS author instructions at: https://gi.de/service/publikationen/lni.
Authors of accepted papers are required to present their work at FISH25. Therefore, at least one author must register for the FISH25 workshop at the Informatik Festival 2025 conference. The link for registration is available at https://informatik2025.gi.de/registration.html.
