The Emotional Well Being Institute (EWBI), a Geneva based global institute is organizing the 1st Emotional Well Being International Conference (EWBIC2023) in partnership with the Open University of Mauritius, Réduit and Middlesex University Mauritius in Flic en Flac City venue from July 19 to 22, 2023.
The purpose of the EWBIC2023 is to bring together the professionals from diverse disciplines interested and engaged in the concepts, principles and practice of emotional well being around the world and build consensus on the way forward for advancement of the knowledge towards enhancing human flourishing through sustainable development in the communities, society and nations.
The Conference will be the first of its kind to create an opportunity for the global community to exchange their knowledge, concepts, principles, and practices to improve and flourish their emotional well-being.

Call for Abstracts and Submission Guidelines
Call for Abstracts
The EWBIC2023 call for Abstracts is now open. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following categories of abstracts for presentations are welcome:
- Oral presentations- only in person on site
- Poster presentations- Only in person on site
- Panel Discussion or Workshop presentations- only in person on site
- Rapid-fire (Pecha Kucha) presentations- pre-recorded video presentations only
The deadline for abstract submission is EXTENDED to April 21, 2023. If you missed the deadline, contact Conference Secretariat for latest information on abstract submission.
Please read the Abstract Submission Guidelines below before starting your submission:
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts can be submitted through online submission system only. Mails or emails or faxes will not be entertained for submission.
- Abstracts must be written in English, and provided in Word Doc format in addition to the form filled online.
- The word limit for an abstract is 350 words excluding the Title, Authors’ names and affiliations. All information and the abstract should be submitted in the template provided in the submission fields given, and submission of an one-page camera-ready copy of the title, authors' affiliation and the abstract in a Microsoft Word file is optional.
- Abstracts must be original and should not have been submitted/presented/ intended for presentation elsewhere before EWBIC2023.
- The presenting author will be responsible for obtaining necessary regulatory permissions, if any, and for the accuracy and meeting ethical standards of the information presented.
- An e-mail confirmation for the receipt of abstract, including an abstract number, will be sent to the submitting author. The same number must be quoted for all subsequent correspondence.
- Modification of any information and the abstract submitted abstracts can be permitted only if the author informs Conference Secretariat through email within 15 days of the submission.
- Withdrawal of submitted abstracts can be permitted on or before the deadline for early bird registration. If the presenting author does not register within the early bird registration deadline date, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn.
- Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by Abstracts Review Sub-committee within the Scientific Programme Committee and selected for oral/poster/PechaKucha presentation on the basis of merit. The Conference Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to select papers and posters for presentation.
- The acceptance and mode of presentation will be notified to authors via e-mail on or before one month from the date of submission.
- The details of information for presentation arrangements on site or virtually will be notified after the conference registration of the presenting author.
- Conflict of Interest: All presenters must submit a signed conflict of interest form as prescribed by the Scientific Programme Committee and should also include in one of their presentation slides.
- Each abstract will be subject to review by the Ethical Review Sub-committee within Scientific Program Committee, before being accepted.
- Up to two abstracts will be allowed to a presenting author to submit, but there will be no restrictions on the number of submitted abstracts for co-authors.
- As possible abstracts will be published as received, though the organizers reserve the right to make revisions for editorial purposes. The submitting author should read the guidelines carefully in order to ensure to submitted abstracts reflect accurate information for presentation as intended and have minimize errors.
- The abstract submission form will have a mandatory field for choosing a thematic topic area for the submitted abstract. However, the Committee reserves the right to make final decision for assigning the thematic topic to the abstract.
- An email confirmation or an automatically generated confirmation will be sent to the submitting author’s email address. If such an email is not receiveed within 7 days, please contact us at drona.rasali@ewbic-canada.org.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: A subtle note to remind that the presenting author of the abstract must be registered for the conference. If the presenting author is not registered for the conference within the early bird registration deadline date, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn.

Conference Publications
An Conference Abstract Book containing accepted abstracts and other conference details will be available on the first day of the conference both in hard copies as well as online. EWBIC2023 proceedings and/or the selected papers in an international peer reviewed journal are planned for publications.
Conference Venue
The venue for this conference will be a combination of the campuses of the University of Middlesex Mauritius in Flic en Flac and the Open University of Mauritius Réduit, as well as designated hotel (to be decided) in Flic en Flac to give the participants best experiences in the enchanting African Island nation of Mauritius situated in the Indian Ocean. Mauritius is a melting pot where past and present are smoothly blended together in a multicultural setting. The conference participants will enjoy the contrast of a multitude of colours and tastes in the island, set in its turquoise sea, as an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
