The III English Teaching Congress aims at providing the English educators of Huetar Northern Region with innovative, inclusive, and empowered pedagogical practices when teaching English as a foreign language. The congress seeks to promote a reflective and interactive academic space in order to create a positive socio-academic impact inside and outside the classroom.
Mission
To contribute with the improvement of the teaching practices of English educators of Huetar Northern Region, through the development and exchanging of pedagogical experiences, effective training, and the use of innovative tools of the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language.
Vision
To serve as a space for academic reference in the areas of teaching, pedagogical meditation, collaboration, and peer feedback to effectively contribute with the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language of Huetar Northern Region educators.
General objective
- To consolidate the educational opportunities for the strengthening of innovative teaching practices and pedagogical mediation of English teaching as a foreign language through the establishment of collaborative partnerships in order to contribute with the socio-economical, educational, and cultural development of Huetar Northern Region of Costa Rica.
Specific objectives
- To provide innovative pedagogical tools to the English teachers of Huetar Northern Region, Costa Rica, in order to strengthen the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language.
- To establish collaborative partnerships and academic exchange among the English teachers and the educational institutions of Huetar Northern Region, Costa Rica.
- To promote strategic partnerships between educational institutions of Huetar Northern Region, Costa Rica, in order to strengthen the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language.
Proposal Guidelines
All proposals must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following categories are welcome:

A session that consists of a 45-minute lecture about the most relevant aspects of a field of study and research. At the end of this presentation, there will be a 15-minute Q&A session. |

A 45-minute session that presents a teaching or assessment topic related to the thematic strands of the congress. The main practical aspects will be covered during the session. At the end of this presentation, there will be a 15-minute Q&A session. |

A session that consists of two parts: the presentation of a topic and a hands-on session where the participants put into practice the information presented in order to develop a product. |

Important notes for presenters/authors submitting proposals and papers
1. You must submit a proposal first, based on the corresponding specifications. Look at the proposal´s submission requirements described in the table above.
2. Please download the corresponding proposal templates as shown in the table above.
3. The deadline to submit the proposal is May 22nd, 2019.
4. Your proposal will undertake a blind reviewing process carried out by three revieweers from various institutions from March to June, 2019.
5. You will be given the proposal's result by June 30th the latest.
6. You will be provided with three of the following results: accepted, accepted with revision, or rejected.
7. If you are given the result of "accepted with revision", you will have the opportunity to resubmit the proposal in a time given by the Scientic Committee.
8. If your proposal is finally accepted, you will be asked to write a full paper.
9. The corresponding paper templates will be provided to you by the Scientific Committee.
10. The deadline to submit the final paper will be September 30th, 2019.
