The European Policy for Intellectual Property association - EPIP - announces its 16th Annual Conference in Madrid, Spain, from 8 to 10 September 2021, hosted by the Institute of Public Goods and Policies at the Spanish National Research Council, CSIC-IPP, in Madrid, Spain. EPIP stands for European Policy for Intellectual Property. It is an internacional, independent, interdisciplinary, non-profit association of researchers. We encourage scholars from all disciplines and practitioners interested in the economic, managerial, legal and political aspects of intellectual property (IP) to submit and/or to attend.
Submission Guidelines
The conference submission platform has two tracks, one for contributions (full papers or extended abstracts) and one for session proposals.
- Full papers or extended abstracts. Preference will be given to full paper submissions. Please prepare your original contributions for blind review and indicate whether your submission is eligible for: 1) the Young Scholar EPIP Award (only full papers considered); 2) the WIPO sponsored session the geographical concentration of innovation.
- Proposals for themed sessions. Proponents of sessions could indicate if they want specific contributions to be included in their sessions. The organising committee reserves the right to modify proposed sessions in the final programme based on accepted contributions.

Venue
We aim to organize a hybrid conference, in which speakers and attendees will participate both from the Madrid conference venues, and online. If developments in the coming months will not allow such a hybrid format, the conference will be fully online.
