The EPCGI 2017 – The 24th Portuguese Meeting of Computer Graphics and Interaction will take place between 12 and 13 October 2017 at the Azurém Campus of the University of Minho, in Guimarães, a joint organization between the Centre for Computer Graphics and the Eurographics Portuguese Chapter, and with the support of University of Minho.
The EPCGI 2017 aims to bring together researchers, teachers and professionals who work in Computer Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction, Image Processing and Computer Vision, enabling the dissemination of completed and ongoing work, the exchange of experiences and to serve as a forum for discussion of any issues related to these areas. This meeting will promote a Scientific Program, which comprises featured keynote lectures, oral communications of long and short papers, and a poster session.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Long papers : up to 8 pages
- Short Papers : up to 4 pages
- Posters: up to 2 pages

EPCGI 2017 proceedings will be published in a digital book with ISBN. Similarly to the previous meeting edition, full papers will be sent for indexing in SCOPUS and also for archiving and provision in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/mostRecentIssue.jsp?punumber=7835784).
Authors of high quality papers will be selected and invited to submit versions of the papers to the following publications:

Guimarães is considered the birthplace of Portugal because Afonso Henriques, who went on to be the first king of Portugal, was born here.
The historical centre in the area that was within the Guimarães city walls, is associated with the formation and identity of Portugal, and was classified a World Heritage site based on the originality and authenticity applied in its restoration.
