Foreword

ECOS 2021, the 34rd conference, will be held in Taormina, Sicily. The purpose of the conference is for participants to present new research results and exchange views on performance, economics, and environmental impact of energy systems, their design and possible advancements. Submission of applied and fundamental science papers are encouraged. We cordially welcome you to Taormina from all over the world. We expect that you will enjoy a fruitful week through the conference and the unequalled millenarian Sicilian culture.

Submission Guidelines

Having considered the delays brought about by the persisting emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to shift the deadline as follows.

Please note that this schedule is final and firm. All the abstracts and papers must be submitted to the secretariat before the following due dates via the website. The length of each paper will be limited to 12 pages at the maximum. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

• Abstract submission January 15, 2021
• Notification of abstract acceptance January 22, 2021
• Full paper submission for review March 15, 2021
• Notification of review results May 15, 2021
• Final paper submission June 1, 2021

Registration

All the participants must register for participation and pay for registration fees based on the following table.

The above fees are for a conference held “in presence”. Should the mode be changed to “virtual” or “hybrid”, further notice will be given in due time.

Publication

ECOS'21 proceedings will be published in electronic format shortly after the Conference.

A restricted number of excellent papers, selected by an ad hoc Committee, will be submitted to some of the leading archival journals in the Energy area. Examples of the journals in the past conferences are:
