Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), has been set up through an Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in 2007, and has been accorded the status of “Institute of National Importance” along the lines of IITs. The institute is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by six leading PSUs – ONGC Ltd., IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL in association with OIDB. The mission of the institute is to work towards promoting energy self-sufficiency in the country through its teaching and R&D efforts. The prime objective of the Institute is to provide world class education, training, and research to roll out efficient human resources to meet the growing requirements of energy sector. The aspiration is to develop India as a global manpower hub for the entire Petroleum and Energy Sector.

About the conference: Energy requirements are uplifting continuously due to the human development, modernization, and automation in almost every industry including Energy. Various companies have started working in this direction but the efforts meeting   energy gaps is still in its infancy.  It  is  therefore  very  important  to  initiate  a  concerted  and  vigorous brainstorming among related academic and industry professionals so that this important area is fruitfully prospected. The conference is domain oriented and focuses on bringing promising ideas together, enabling an open platform to discuss the challenges and solutions of energy demands. Department of Management Studies (DOMS), RGIPT proposes to hold its 1st International Conference themed “Emerging Challenges & Opportunities in Energy Sector (ECOES)” on Feb 09^th and 10^th 2018. The conference seeks inputs from every individual working for energy sector through plenary talks discussing recent advancements.
