EAHPC-2020 - Embracing Arm: a journey of porting and optimization to the latest Arm-based processors
An IEEE Cluster 2020 Workshop
14 September 2020 | Kobe, Japan / Hosted virtually
We would like to invite you to submit papers for the inaugural EAHPC-2020 workshop, hosted as part of the IEEE Cluster 2020 conference. The workshop will take place on the 14th of September 2020, in Kobe, Japan, though due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions it is highly likely that the event will take place on-line.
The last few years have seen an explosion of 64-bit Arm based processors targeted towards server and infrastructure workloads – often with a specialization towards a specific domain – such as HPC, cloud and machine learning.
We invite papers on the porting and, if available, optimization of high-performance workloads to emerging Arm platforms. We welcome performance optimization studies either through access to real hardware or via simulation/emulation frameworks, for both SVE and otherwise. We welcome content that focuses on HPC, Edge, and everything in between, including those related to applications and cross-over/emerging application areas such as machine learning, deep learning, bioinformatics, and analytics; all on Arm-compatible platforms.
We invite papers on such topics as:
- SVE vectorization evaluation
- HPC, AI and ML application porting
- Performance analysis, modelling and portability
- Data, storage and visualization
- Emerging technologies
The workshop program will include paper presentations from submission of both full-paper (8-page) and short-paper (4-page) using the IEEE template. Submissions will take place via Easy Chair: EAHPC-2020. Please note that all reviews are double-blind. For each paper, the committee will consider each submission’s novelty, technical depth, impact, correctness, quality of presentation and relevance to the workshop.
Accepted papers will be published part of the IEEE Cluster conference proceedings.
Important dates:
- Submission Deadline: 13th July (AoE)
- Author Notification: 3rd August (AoE)
- Camera Ready: 14th August (AoE)
We look forward to your submissions.
Workshop chairs:

- Dr. John Linford (Arm)
- Ms. Roxana Rusitoru (Arm)
- Dr. Shinji Sumimoto (Fujitsu)
- Prof. Mitsuhisa Sato (RIKEN)
