DS2017 refers to Data Simplification conference in 2017 --- a community of technique, academia, scientists and researchers in the field of Data Simplification. Data Simplification is a area of simplification or reduction of media data and semantic data, in order to cope with the data explosion and information explosion in big data era, using technology such as Semantic Analysis, Data Mining, NLP tools, Knowledge Engineering, etc. to make the information, data, knowledge simpler and simpler. DS2017 focus on Data Simplification technique and the other topics. Data Simplification technique, is a simplification of various types of data from the acquisition, processing, storage, reading, analysis, logic, form etc, and applied to information systems, big data, Natural Language Processing, knowledge engineering, mathematical statistics, traditional structured database, machine learning techniques, biological data, information management system, physical the field of spatial representation and design. The corresponding English is: Data Simplification Process (数据简单化过程), Data Reduction Process (数据精简过程), Data Simplification Center (数据整理中心), Data Simplification Strategy (数据简单化策略), Data Reduction Strategy (数据简化策略), etc., such as the following example: 1. Based on the mulit band wavelet theory, this paper studies the contour data simplifying, provides a method for border simplifying of the contour data based on mulit band wavelet. 2. Cooperation of data mining with data warehouse can simplify the process of some steps of data mining to improve the quality of data mining. 3. In the process of space Data Simplification, a small area or space scattered landscape gradually swallowed up or merged, while the landscape is showing a strong advantage. At Data Simplification Conference 2017 (DS2017), we will discuss the technological implementation of data simplification or reduction with similar media data and semantic data.
