The Doctoral Colloquium is a forum for Ph.D. scholars to interact and exchange their ideas with experienced researchers and practitioners. The first doctoral colloquium was organised in 2017. Second in series, Doctoral Colloquium 2018 intends to provide an opportunity to doctoral scholars in management, economics and computer science & information technology who want to pursue a career in academics to discuss their synopsis' thesis work. All topics and methodological approaches within the broad field of management, economics and computer science & information technology will be considered to present during the colloquium. The participants will be benefitted by keynote addresses on latest research studies in management, economics and information technology from eminent scholars of leading institutes.
Objectives:
- To provide a platform for exchange of ideas and initiate discussion on contemporary issues related to management, economics, and computer science & information technology for encouraging quality research within the academic fraternity.
- To provide opportunities to the doctoral scholars to showcase their nascent research ideas and concepts to obtain valuable inputs from the discussions and strengthen the professional network.
- To provide the doctoral scholars an idea of the state-of-the-art developments in their research areas through interactions with practitioners as well as researchers.
Eligibility:
- The Colloquium is open to all doctoral scholars who have commenced research on their thesis and enrolled with a university recognized by UGC/MHRD/AICTE or IIT/IIM.
- Only one synopsis/abstract per candidate is allowed; co-authorship with faculty is permitted. The manuscript should not have been published, or accepted for publication, in any academic journal/ conference proceedings.
- Scholars who are currently pursuing Ph.D. or submitted thesis/ awarded with Ph.D. degree on or after 31st August 2018 are eligible.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Kindly refer to the following guidelines before submitting your manuscript:
- Abstract: The abstract submitted should be extended in nature (2000-3000 words).
- Structure of the Manuscript for Synopsis: It should include Introduction, Problem Statement, Review of Literature, Research Objectives, Research Methodology, Expected Outcomes, and References.
- Structure of the Manuscript for Abstract: It should include Introduction, Problem Statement, Review of Literature, Research Objectives, Research Methodology, Result Analysis & Interpretation, Conclusions and Contribution to theory, literature and References.
- Track-I: May present their synopsis/ abstract on Ph.D. topic related to Domain/General/Functional Management or Economics.
- Track-Il: (Synopsis/Abstract papers): Candidates may present their synopsis/ abstract on Ph.D. topic related to Computer Science and Information Technology.
The manuscript should contain the following:
- Title, author(s) name, affiliation, E-mail.
- The manuscript length is limited to (6-12 pages) inclusive of tables, figures and appendices.
- The manuscript must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 point font with 1’ margin on all sides.
- The acceptance of abstract will be put through review and originality check. To enable this process, all submissions must be made in Word doc format.
The Colloquium review committee will review the manuscript and communicate the acceptance to the participant by 30th October, 2018. Participants are expected to present the abstract/synopsis (summary) presentation before the expert panel followed by queries /suggestions on 15th November2018 during DCMEIT-2018.
