Who can apply?
Researchers from the Universities Stuttgart and Tübingen as well as from the MPI for Intelligent Systems, preferably at an early stage of their career, can apply for funding.
What can be applied for?
Individual projects or joint applications with core partners or associated partners of the Cyber Valley can be applied for. Personnel and material resources may be requested.
The maximum amount is not fixed. The projects supported so far have an average funding amount of 250,000 € with an average runtime of 3 years. Applicants are completely free to choose the project topic. Funding is available for basic research projects. The proposal should be based on an innovative and/or creative idea that is distinguished by its high scientific quality, relevance and originality. Please find some suggested research themes below.
How to apply?
Please submit a complete project outline (according to the template) via the submission link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cyvyrf2021
The written consent of the supervisor (head of department, research group leader, chair holder) must be submitted with the application.
Please submit the complete application by 30.05.2021 at the latest.
How is the decision making process?
The proposals will be reviewed by the Research Fund Board. In addition, the Public Advisory Board will examine the proposals from an ethical and societal point of view.
