The 6th International Symposium CompIMAGE’18 - Computational Modeling of Objects Presented in Images: Fundamentals, Methods, and Applications, will be held 2-5 July 2018 in Cracow, Poland. The symposium will include keynote talks, regular papers and short communications. CompIMAGE’18 seeks outstanding papers describing contributions to the theoretical and practical aspects of the computational modeling of objects presented in images along with applications in this field.
Submission Guidelines
Contributors of the conference can submit two types of papers:
- regular papers,
- short communications.
In the both cases, the authors will have the option to submit extended versions (more than 30% new material) to special issue of the Taylor & Francis journal on Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering: Imaging & Visualization (indexed in Scopus and ISI Thomson Reuters) and a special edited book of Springer in the series Lecture Notes in Computational Vision and Biomechanics with chapters related to the symposium topics.
The submitted work should contain results that are unpublished and not included in other works considered for publication elsewhere. Thus, by submitting a paper, the author(s) warrant that neither this nor any other paper with essentially the same technical content has been published or submitted for publication somewhere else.
Papers will be thoroughly reviewed with an emphasis on the potential to contribute to the body of knowledge within the subject area of this conference. Each accepted paper should be revised according to the referees’ comments and submitted in a camera-ready form together with all the source files (Word or LaTeX), the used latex styles, a response to reviewers’ comments and a signed copyright form.
All manuscripts must be prepared according to Springer’s requirements and submitted electronically in pdf format.
A paper will be included in the proceedings only if at least one author registers and submits the conference fee. This author agrees to the obligation to attend the conference and present the paper.
Regular papers
The length of the regular papers should be between 8 and 14 pages.
Regular papers will be published in the Springer’s edited book in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series, distributed after the conference, while abstracts will appear in an edited volume (with an ISBN number) available during the conference
Short communications
Short communications may present works in progress or ideas for possible exploration. These provide the opportunity to open discussions, find collaborators and receive input on new ideas.
The length of the short communications should be between 4 and 14 pages.
Short communications will be published in an edited volume with an ISBN number.
Authors of short communications are entitled to a decreased registration fee (25% of the full fee). Such a type of fee does not include participation in social events. Please note that this lower registration fee cannot be reduced further; this also applies to accommodation. Scheduling of such presentations may be arranged in such a manner as to conveniently enable one-day visits.
