The Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and Nordic Research Network on Transitions, Career and Guidance are organizing an international research conference on topics that is central to research in the Nordic region. The conference is open to researchers from all over the world. Submissions are invited from the international research community.
Submission Guidelines
- Scientific papers and posters. Empirical as well as theoretical work are welcome.
- Presentations and posters for feedback sessions.
All proposals must be composed along the themes reflected in the conference’s title. Proposals must be submitted in English and will be subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
1. Requirements for scientific paper and poster proposals
The submission should contain a maximum of 1300 words + references. Each presentation has 20 minutes and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. For this submission please write:
- Type of contribution: Paper or poster
- Title
- Author/s of proposal including affiliations and e-mail address (must be left out in the version for review)
- Abstract (up to 150 words and 3-5 keywords – will be published on the conference’s website
- Relation to the conference theme (up to 50 words)
- General description on research questions, objectives, and theoretical framework (up to 600 words)
- Methods/methodology (up to 300 words)
- Outcomes/ expected results (up to 200 words)

2. Requirements for presentation and poster proposal for feedback sessions
The submission should contain a 150 word abstract and a text of maximum of 350 words. In this session, we will run three short presentations where the authors share a problem/challenge in relation to research (proposals, publication, community building, funding etc.) and invite the audience to discuss it. Each submission has 20 minutes. Please use maximum 10 minutes to share your problem and leave 10 minutes to collect feedback. Consider how you will facilitate the feedback. For this submission please write:
- Type of contribution: Feedback session
- Title
- Authors of proposal including affiliations and email address (to be left out in the version for review).
- Abstract (up to 150 words) and 3-5 keywords – will be published on the conference’s website
- Relation to the conference theme (up to 50 words)
- Description of the problem/challenge including “what is the help and feedback you are looking for?” (350 words)
Submission of proposals
The proposals must be submitted not later than 1 February 2021.
All proposals must be submitted as a pdf document. Please use Times New Roman font, 12 points, line spacing 1.5 lines, paragraphs spaced by followed line, justified text and no use of indents in the first line.
The paper must start with a title, the author's name, affiliation and email. If more than one author, please add their names and affiliation. All contact will be with the first author.
All papers will be anonymized before sent to double-blind peer review. The accepted submissions will be published on the conference webpage.
