University of Naples Federico II organizes the 15-th Scientific Meeting of the Classification and Data Analysis Group of the Italian Statistical Society. This is a very special meeting as it coincides with the
International Scientific Joint Meeting of the Italian and Dutch/Flemish Classification Societies.
Venue
University of Naples Federico II, Conference Center of the Monte S. Angelo campus, Via Cinthia, 80126 Naples - Italy. https://cladag2025.unina.it/
Submission Guidelines
Authors wishing to present a contributed paper are required to submit an abstract of maximum 500 words to https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cladag2025. Abstract sumbission deadline: May 31, 2025.
In addition, authors may submit a paper (minimum length of 8 pages, maximum length of 12 pages) highlighting development in supervised and unsupervised statistical tools and models in the Springer volume Advances in Supervised and Unsupervised Statistical Data Analysis, belonging to the Springer Series in Studies in Classification, Data Analysis, and Knowledge Organization.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, clustering, pattern recognition, fuzzy methods, proximity structure analysis, mixture models, decision trees, data analysis, model selection, and textual classification. Proposals for critical and innovative applications of these types of models to real data, highlighting the fundamental contribution of statistical science to modern data analysis, are particularly welcome.
Deadline for paper submission to the Springer volume “Advances in Supervised and Unsupervised Statistical Data Analysis”: March 1, 2025.

PhD Student/Young Researcher Paper Award
The award is addressed to PhD students and young researchers (scholars who have been earning phd for no more than 6 years as of August 31, 2025) working in the area of Classification, Clustering and related topics who submit, as the first author, a paper to the CLADAG Conference 2025, applying for this competition. The paper is essentially the work of the PhD student/Young researcher. The paper should involve original methodological research, a novel application, or software related to some aspect of Classification, Clustering, Data Science and related topics.
The competition candidates must submit a paper to the Springe book on “Advances in Supervised and Unsupervised Statistical Data Analysis” as described within the call for papers by March 1, 2025. The deadline for nomination is June 1, 2025.
