CIC 2023: The 2nd International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction Qatar University Doha, Qatar, February 5-8, 2023

The International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction, organized by Qatar University, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), the Ministry of Municipality, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, will take place from 5-8 February 2023 in Doha, QATAR. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform to report and discuss the recent advances and developments in infrastructure and construction besides urban planning and design for society wellbeing. Furthermore, the conference will provide a forum to discuss challenges and developments associated with the Environment and Climate Change.

The conference will have a number of professional partners from engineering societies inside and outside Qatar. The conference will have world-class keynote speakers from top international engineering organizations and societies. The invitation will also be made to the policymakers and key figures in Qatar in the field of infrastructure and construction to present at the conference.

Submission Guidelines

• All contributions must be original and should not have been published or simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.
• Intellectual property rights, integrity, scientific honesty, and research methods should be strictly followed and implemented.
• Two types of manuscripts could be published in the conference proceedings:
  • Short papers: 4-5 pages including references (Industry oriented)
  • Full papers: 6-8 pages including references
• Papers should be prepared in English and carefully checked for correct grammar.
• All papers will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and submitted to anonymous external peer reviewers in the field. Once the reviewing process is complete, the corresponding author of each paper will be notified by email of the reviewers’ comments.
• The authors are then required to respond to the reviewers’ comments and reflect the changes in the revised paper for final submission and acceptance decision.

All accepted papers presented at the conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference that will be available electronically preserved  at: https://qspace.qu.edu.qa/handle/10576/14749

Authors are not required to pay any article processing charges or fees for the publication of their papers in the conference proceedings.

The conference proceedings will be published by Qatar University Press with an ISSN number as follows:

Each paper will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The proceedings shall be submitted to Scopus for Indexing.
