The CIRP Sponsored Conference on Changeable, Agile, Reconfigurable, and Virtual Production is arranged for the 9^th time and is for the first time hosted by Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy. The conference offers a setting for experts from academia, industry and research institutes alike to discuss and exchange the latest scientific contributions related to manufacturing systems designed to meet the demands of a challenging, diverse, and global market.

The CARV2023 conference is co-located with the 11^th World Mass Customization & Personalization Conference (MCPC2023).

The World Mass Customization & Personalization Conference is arranged for the 11^th time and is for the first time hosted by Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy. The conference offers a setting for experts from academia, industry and research institutes alike to discuss and exchange the latest scientific contributions related to customized products and their associated business and production systems.

The MCPC2023 conference is co-located with the 9^th Changeable, Agile, Reconfigurable, and Virtual Production Conference (CARV2023).

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. 

Submitted papers must follow the provided Springer template and author guidelines except where deviations are specified by the organizing committee (e.g. page limits). Full manuscripts of up to 8 pages will be accepted. Submissions should include 5 keywords related to the conference topics. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their papers to a special session if the scope of their paper fits the theme of one of the available special sessions. All abstracts and submitted full papers will be peer reviewed by the international scientific committees.

At least one author per paper needs to be registered for the conference during upload of camera-ready versions. The final conference proceedings will be published online before the conference. Therefore, the deadlines for the submission and publication process are firm and must be met by all authors.
