The Twin Cities ACM Chapter invites students, faculty, and professionals to CADSCOM 2021, the 3rd research Colloquium on Analytics, Data Science, and Computing, on March 20, 2021. CADSCOM 2021 features prominent keynotes, industry-faculty panels, peer-reviewed papers, and invited paper presentations.
Registration Fee: $20 for Students, and $50 for Educators and Professionals.
Cooperative Organizations: MN State IT Center of Excellence, Metropolitan State University, and Minnesota State University Mankato.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The submission process comprises a full paper submission, as follows:
Submission Type
- Full paper submission: The full papers should not exceed single-spaced 6 pages, including all content and references. All submissions must be in PDF format and formatted according to the format guidelines.
- Research-in-progress submission: The research-in-progress papers are either abstracts or a summary of the initial results of an in-progress study. The research-in-progress submission must not exceed single-spaced 2 pages including all contents and references.
- Research poster submission: A 2-page abstract (including all content and references) is required for digital posters. If approved, the authors will present their work through a digital poster during the online poster session. Poster template will be provided to the accepted authors.

Submit the full paper to EasyChair. All submissions must be in PDF format and formatted according to the format guidelines. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME OR ANY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN THE DOCUMENT to facilitate a double-blind review, and we will track submissions using a submission record number. Once your paper is accepted, you will be added to the Colloquium program. All submissions need to be original work that is not published anywhere else. For each accepted paper, at least one author must register for and attend the Colloquium to present the paper.

Important Policies
- For each accepted paper, at least one author must attend the Colloquium to present the paper. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CADSCOM 2021 will be held virtually.
- The author(s) must take full responsibility for the entire content of their paper.
- All submissions will go through a blind peer-review process.
- The submitted papers will be evaluated based on their clarity, quality, potential impact, and reproducibility.
- The author(s) must follow the formatting and style guidelines.
- The author(s) must not include any identifying information (such as names and affiliations) anywhere in their submission.
- The author(s) must check their submission for any potential plagiarism. Any submission that violates the ethical conduct of research will be rejected.
- All submissions need to be original work that is not published anywhere else.

Organizations are seeking to harness data to improve decision-making, foment innovation, and discover insights. The purpose of CADSCOM is to promote and disseminate novel and cutting-edge ideas that can improve the understanding of concepts, challenges, opportunities, and technology related to real-world data projects. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Data Infrastructure and Computing: cloud and high-performance computing, big data systems and programming models, software techniques and architecture for the grid, parallel, graph, and in-memory computing, containerization, data stream processing.
- Data Management: data modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, distributed databases, best practices in data collection, ingestion, extraction, integration, and cleaning, data governance frameworks, data strategy.
- Data Analytics: concepts and techniques of data visualization, statistical theories, and applications, predictive models and applications, geo-spatial analytics.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and reinforcement learning models, transfer learning, text, and social media analytics, natural language processing, deep learning algorithms, and architectures, image and speech recognition, ML model deployment, ML as a Service.
- Data Ethics and Security: privacy and ethical issues and solutions, best practices in data security, data encryption algorithms and techniques, social impact, and implications for big data analytics.
- Big Data Applications: novel applications of big data in sciences, engineering, humanities, social sciences, healthcare, retail, finance, education, manufacturing, transportation, and other domains.
- Emerging Technologies: blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), quantum computing, autonomous vehicles, etc.
- Business Management and Strategy-making: Applications of advanced business analytics in management and governance.

The accepted papers will be available through this website and will be indexed in Google Scholar.
The top three articles accepted for CADSCOM 2021 will be eligible for fast track review for the Journal of the Midwest Association of Information Systems (JMWAIS). The articles that are published in JMWAIS are also available from the AIS eLibrary.
Venue
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CADSCOM 2021 will be held virtually.
Registration
Registration fee: $20 for students presenting their research work, and $50 for educators and professionals attending/presenting. The registration will open on February 16, 2021.
