Biometrics is the unique feature used to identify and verify a person. The most common physiological traits are face, fingerprint, iris, hand geometry, etc. Physiological traits were portrayed as most secure traits difficult to break. However, recent technologies make fraudsters and automated programs to break the myth and happen to forge the authentication mechanism. With Artificial Intelligence (AI), the era of behavioural biometrics begins. User’s behaviour in handling the system and data are analysed meticulously and their unique behaviours are identified and mapped to user identity. With behavioural biometric authentication, the security systems are smarter in distinguishing fraudsters from genuine users. Physiological biometrics is comparatively easy to forge and this raises hope in user eyes to opt for behaviour biometrics authentication that are smarter to detect any anomalies and prevent forged transactions. In near future, behavioural biometrics is expected to benefit various entities ranging from banking to e-commerce sites.
This book will prospect the capabilities of harnessing behaviour biometrics in user authentication systems. It will explore the categories of behaviour biometrics, metrics to measure their accuracy, use of deep learning methodologies in discriminating fraudulent activities from genuine one. For particular call, we are seeking articles that focus on the authentication mechanisms using behavioural biometrics, intersection of AI and user behaviour and state-of-the art techniques in generating behaviour biometric data.
Submission Guidelines
Abstract for chapters not exceeding 500 words must be submitted in the provided link. Upon abstract acceptance notification, contributors are welcomed to submit full chapters within the specified period. Full chapter must not be less than 20 pages and do not exceed 25 pages. Contributors are encouraged to use illustrations for their chapters to make the book more useful for readers.
