AvioSE'27 : Call for Papers
Software development in the aerospace is increasingly shaped by software-defined avionics, extensively connected aircraft, growing certification demands, and the need for resilient, cyber-secure architectures. Emerging applications such as autonomous and highly assisted flight operations, uncrewed systems, and next-generation air traffic integration require new development and verification methodologies. At the same time, industry is facing major technological challenges in areas such as multicore and heterogeneous computing platforms, artificial intelligence and machine learning in safety-critical environments, as well as the integration of open and modular avionics architectures. Model-based engineering, digital twins, and virtualization, are becoming key enablers for managing increasing system complexity while maintaining compliance with evolving certification standards and safety requirements.

- This year, we are also planning a white-paper on a selected topic and offering all partiticpants to join!

Type of submission and conditions
We welcome two kinds of contributions:
- Full Paper: The paper does not exceed 20 pages and states completed research.
- Short Paper: The paper does not exceed 10 pages and states ongoing research.
All accepted contributions will be published within the SE-workshop proceedings.
!!! Accepted contributions must be presented by one of the authors in person.
!!! One author must be registered for the workshop or full SE before the final manuscript deadline.
How to contribute?
The papers must follow the LNI formatting guidelines.
The papers are to be submitted using EasyChair.
If you do not have an EasyChair account, you need to create one.
The text of the abstract should not exceed 200 words.
Assessment and selection of submissions
The requested submissions lie in the field of expertise of the Organisation and Program Committee. They are assessed according to the following scientific criteria:
- Reasonable structure (problem statement and related work, solution, evaluation of the presented approach)
- Presentation of the unique feature of the submission w. r. t. existing solutions
- Intersubjectively comprehensible compilation
- Relevance of the presented approach
- Innovation of the submission
- Sustainability of the solution
- Appropriate citation of relevant scientific publications
- Form (language, spelling, grammar and formatting)
