The goal of the 6th International Arab Women In Computing (ArabWIC) Conference is to inspire, support and celebrate women in computing in the Arab world and create links with the global tech ecosystem. This conference will explore the state of the art of computing/technology, the latest innovations and trends, Research & Development, entrepreneurship and the role of women in tech start-ups and of women VC’s. Women’s enrollment in computer science courses, their involvement in industry and academia, gender gaps, positive trends as well as barriers in the field will all be examined. The conference will give opportunity to researchers to share and discuss their work, will feature renowned keynote speakers, interactive technical workshops, mentoring sessions, networking, career coaching for all levels, a career fair featuring top tech companies, and a gala to celebrate women in technology.
This year’s conference will also include “Data Science” talks and workshops as part of the Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) event. WiDS aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender and support women in the field. It provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains.
