Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
The conference is soliciting quality papers and posters as follows:
Faculty/Staff/Professionals
Educational papers (see paper types below) that are not strictly scientific or strictly technical in nature.
All such papers are to be presented in oral presentation sessions at the conference.
Students
Both Graduate and Undergraduate students are asked to submit an Extended Abstract (see below). This helps them serve as an author or co-author on a refereed paper and at the same time do not have to prepare a lengthy submission.
All student submissions are to be presented as a poster presentation in a poster session at the conference.
Paper types
There are two types of papers that can be submitted:
1. Full-length Paper
There is no page length restriction on such paper. A template for it can be viewed in this sample paper (https://engineering.unm.edu/aseegsw2020/a-sample-asee-gsw-annual-conference-paper.doc). Note that in your paper, you can use the mid-paper headings “Methods”, “Results”, “Discussion”, “Results and Discussion”, etc. as you see fit. Full-length papers are only accepted from faculty/staff/professionals.
2. Extended Abstract
This is strictly a two-page paper, i.e. a short paper. The format for this short paper follows that of the full-length paper (see above) but the length cannot exceed two pages. Extended Abstracts are accepted from both students and faculty/staff/professionals.
For all submitted papers/posters, it is an expectation that at least one of the co-authors must register and attend the conference to present the accepted paper/poster. Papers/posters without a registration will not be included in the conference program.
