2nd International Symposium on Applied Linguistic Research (ALR2021)
“Interdisciplinary Language Studies: Current Trends and Future Directions”
The Applied Linguistics Research Lab (ALLAB) at Prince Sultan University (PSU) is pleased to announce the 2nd International Symposium on Applied Linguistic Research (ALR2021) which will be held on Saturday/Sunday, November 6-7, 2021. ALLAB invites proposals in areas relevant to the symposium theme, “Interdisciplinary Language Studies: Current Trends and Future Directions.” The call for papers addresses, but is not limited to, these areas of focus:
- Translation and Interpretation Studies
- Stylistics
- Foreign Language Learning
- Second Language Acquisition
- Language Assessment and Evaluation
- Language Literacy Studies
- Language Policy
- Language Teaching and Technology
- Corpus Linguistics- Discourse Analysis
- Psycholinguistics- Sociolinguistics
- Bilingualism
- Vocabulary Acquisition
Submission Guidelines
We welcome proposals in one of these two categories:
1- Paper Presentations
Paper presentations should be 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes for discussion.
The abstract should range between 250 - 300 words in length with a clear title (12 words maximum). It should reflect the research gap, methods, and findings/implications.
2- Poster Presentations
Paper presentations should be 15 minutes long with an additional 5 minutes for discussion.
The abstract should range between 250-300 words in length with a clear title (12 words maximum). It should reflect the research gap, methods, and findings/implications.
Please note that:
1- All proposals must be in English.
2- All submissions should include a short bio (50 words) of the author(s).
Publishing Opportunities
