ABOUT BOOK
Today’s artificial intelligence has tremendous capabilities to benefit industries/companies, the need for technical talent and massive infrastructure has made it less attainable for many organizations. The aim of this book is to provide researchers, a platform to introduce their new ideas on how the emerging fields of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) & Big-Data Analytics can be utilized in healthcare devices, equipment and services under both normal and contingency situations without major disruption in the established medical protocols. It will also discuss the various methods and approaches to use the technologies in pandemic situations such as COVID-19.
Further, this book provides novel methods and computing capabilities to help healthcare system using computing techniques like AIoT, Machine Learning and deep learning. This mechanism can tackle healthcare issues and future epidemics. Therefore, to overcome healthcare issues, smart healthcare technologies will have a unique need for current situations with high efficiency in real-time applications, which cannot be solved by traditional healthcare methods. Therefore, Smart AIoT approach needs to be analyzed and implemented.
This Book will mainly highlight applications in implementing AIoT enabled solutions which will be applied for consultation, diagnosis, treatment and caring of ill patients. This book will also reveal how to combine Big Data, IoT and Cloud to empower conventional doctor-patient relationship in a very dynamic and personalized way. By incorporating such type of technologies, we can successfully port over analytical methods from financial services and the consumer industries. This combined with the data which is available on social determinants of health, which include education, socio-economic status, living status and social networks opens opportunities for the providers to know each patient on a deeper scale, opening doors for precision medicines to become a reality. Actual value of such kind of systems comes from their ability to deliver in the moment of insights to enable risk-stratify patient’s populations, understanding variation in care patterns, power dynamic care journey management and personalize care.
AIoT provides a platform for networks of devices which can communicate, share information mutually and explore data to satisfy the needs of organizations and individuals. By enabling autonomous interactions between interconnected objects and devices, gives rise to another emerging area as well as influencing new paradigm of internet. Internet of Behavior is another recent extension of IoT, which can be included in the field of behavioural science and data analytics. Due AIoT’s behavioural and all-in-one embedded applications, its architectural design, implementations and maintenance are raising numerous concerns that will challenge the academicians and researchers.
This book provides a basis for discussing open principles, methods and research problems associated with AIoT for health care applications. It also provides a systematic overview of the state-of-the-art research efforts and potential research directions to in the area of AIoT.
