The 9th IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (AICAS 2027) will be held in Hangzhou, China during September 20-22, 2027.
The next generation of AI will not only answer: it will perceive, plan and act, in robots, vehicles, wearables and autonomous agents. AICAS 2027 invites contributions on the circuits and systems that make this possible, under tight limits of energy, latency, memory and safety.
AICAS 2027 aims to offer an excellent platform allowing world scholars, technology researchers, and industry to exchange experiences, demonstrate their studies, and further advance AI circuits and systems technologies.

Call for Special Sessions
The Organizing Committee of AICAS 2027 invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the conference.
Special sessions complement the main program by focusing on emerging topics or novel applications. Proposals should target timely, impactful research areas. While all Circuits and Systems topics are welcome, interdisciplinary research and the conference’s innovation themes are particularly encouraged:
- Hardware for embodied AI: perception, sensor fusion, motion control and robotics processors
- Accelerators for agentic AI, large language models and multimodal foundation models
- Computing-in-memory, near-memory and processing-in-sensor architectures
- Emerging devices for AI: spintronic, resistive, ferroelectric, phase-change and photonic
- Neuromorphic and spiking circuits and systems
- Edge and on-device AI: low-power inference, on-chip learning and continual learning
- Hardware–software co-design, compilers and AI for EDA
- Chiplets, 3D integration and memory systems for AI
- Trustworthy, secure and reliable AI hardware
- AI circuits and systems for healthcare, mobility, manufacturing and smart cities
Proposal Requirements
Proposals should include the following information (3 pages max.):
- Title & Abstract: A clear, concise title and abstract that outline the session’s core topic and scope.
- Rationale: Justify the topic’s novelty and timeliness, elaborate on its relevance to the CAS community, and demonstrate alignment with the conference’s innovation themes.
- Proposed Speakers: Submit a complete list of presentations and speakers (for each associated paper). Technical sessions typically require 5 papers. For special cases (e.g., invited industry speakers or extended talks), proposals for sessions with fewer papers are permitted.
- Short Biographies: Include brief bio-sketches of the session proposers.
Important Dates
- Special session proposal deadline: March 10, 2027
Proposal Submission
Special session proposals submission is to be announced. Please check back later for the submission link.
Call for Tutorials
The AICAS 2027 Organizing Committee invites proposals for tutorials to complement the regular program. Tutorials should provide in-depth coverage of emerging topics, offering a comprehensive overview and insights into the latest advancements for both researchers and practitioners.
Tutorial Proposal Requirements
Tutorial proposals to the AICAS 2027 should include:
- Title of the tutorial
- Indicate short (1.5 hour) session or half-day (3 hours) session
- Abstract
- Names, affiliations, pictures, short bios, contact details, and expertise of presenters
Note that important aspects in evaluating Tutorial proposals include the timeliness of the topic, quality/track record of the proposers, and expected value added to the overall technical program.
