About the Book:
The application of Geo-spatial and Earth Observation Systems (EOS) has revolutionized the ability to assess and monitor the Geo-environmental threats. These systems provide an unprecedented level of detail and accuracy in mapping features on Earth’s landscape. This capability is essential for identifying potential hazards and assessing risk. Earth observation systems are also being used increasingly for synoptic view from space that assists emergency responders with damage assessments, evacuation planning etc. during hazardous events. Overall, geo-spatial and EOS play a critical role in assessing geo-environmental threats such as landslides, volcanic eruptions, floods etc., helping protect lives & property. Spatial data can be used to identify potential threats to the environment, as well as track their progression over time.
About the Edited Volume:
This book provides an overview of the innovative concepts, methodologies and frameworks that will increase the feasibility of the existing geo-spatial techniques and its applications. Current implementation and improve applications of EOS and remote sensing has shown through these edited book requiring new understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the environmental field. The books discuss topics such as basic concept of EOS and geo-spatial techniques. This book also discuss about the concept of remote sensing and Artificial Intelligence and their uses in geo-environmental threats. This book provides depth knowledge of geo-environmental hazard and its assessment through EOS and geo-spatial techniques. This book will be readily accessible source of information for various geo-environmental hazards such as coastal erosion, landslide, groundwater pollution, flash flood, flood and deforestation. This book will also discuss about the sustainable management of these environmental issues with suitable mitigation system.
