About the Conference
The International conference, 4th SEEC, will be organized to promote research and outreach programme in India and abroad through scientific deliberations like keynote addresses, invited talks, oral and poster presentations. The SEEC will bring together engineers, scientists, academicians, students, managers and other professionals in order to address and discuss emerging sustainable energy and environmental issues. It will provide platforms for physicists, environmental engineers, mathematicians, chemists, engineers and biologist for critical discussion in key areas related to energy and environmental sciences. Environmental sciences research should contribute to understanding the significant problems in recent days arising due to extensive agriculture, industrial, municipal, transportation, urbanization activities together with climate change resources including wastes are essential for the sustainable development and to meet the challenges of increasing human population without impacting the other components of the environment.
About the Organizers
The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur was established in 1958 as Central Public Health Engineering Research Institute (CPHERI), when environmental concerns were limited to human health with a focus on water supply/sewage disposal/ communicable diseases and to some extent on industrial pollution and occupational diseases. It was renamed as National Environmental Engineering Research Institute(NEERI) in the year 1974. The CSIR-NEERI is a premier research institute created and funded by the Government of India. CSIR-NEERI is a pioneer laboratory in the field of environmental science and engineering and part of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). NEERI has five zonal laboratories at Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. NEERI falls under the Ministry of Science and Technology Government of India. The NEERI is an important partner organization in India’s POPs national implementation plan (NIP) as well as a regional center for world health organization (WHO). CSIR-NEERI is playing a very significant role in the field of environmental science and engineering. The institute is dedicated to the services of mankind by monitoring the environmental status, across the country and providing innovative and effective S&T solutions to the environmental and natural resource problems. CSIR-NEERI has been instrumental to environmental degradation by conducting vital R&D activities in the field of environmental science and engineering. A host of environmentally sound technologies developed at CSIR-NEERI will help in reaching a goal of sustainable development.
The International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability was founded at IIT Kanpur in January 2014 with an aim to spread knowledge in the fields of Energy, Environment, Sustainability, and Combustion. In this changing environmental scenario, the time has come where more emphasis has to be laid on renewable energy resources. Moreover, in this dynamic scenario of swelling competition and reducing profits, staying environmentally responsible can be extremely challenging for any organization. More efficient systems have to be developed to meet the increasing energy demands keeping in mind its environmental impact. People have to become more aware and concerned about the environmental challenges which the world is facing today to make it a better place for us and our future generations. The Society aims to spread knowledge in the above-mentioned areas among people and make them more aware about the environmental challenges which the world is facing today. The Society is involved in various activities like conducting workshops, seminars, conferences, etc. in the above-mentioned domains. The society also recognizes young scientists and engineers for their contributions in this field. It comprises of experts from leading research institutions working in various domains related to energy.
